Gitmo, Part Deux

Seems while the WH and the DoJ are hell bent on re-writing clemency laws and possibly releasing as many as 1.0 million criminals from domestic prisons, which is a real poke in the eye for Judges, Juries and Congress, shhh, but the same in about to happen it appears at Gitmo.

Barack Obama and Eric Holder seem to be taking the ‘Implied Powers’ of the presidency to a new level never seen before in history and certainly for nefarious reasons.

There has been a recommendation to transfer the worst 48 at Gitmo, which Obama said were too dangerous and must remain in detention, their new home will likely be Gitmo Part 2 located in Sa’ana, Yemen. Oh, we pay for that too.

Yemen prison

The facility would hold the 88 Yemeni terrorism suspects, many of whom have  not been charged with any crime, still detained at the US military prison in  Cuba. Yemenis make up more than half of the 164 men held at Guantanamo, and  their stalled repatriation is a key obstacle to closing the prison.

The White House has refused to confirm direct talks with Yemen over the plan.  But Caitlin Hayden, a spokeswoman for the National Security Council, said that  the US is part of a UN-led group formed in August to help Yemen establish a  rehabilitation programme “which could also facilitate the transfer of Yemeni  detainees held at Guantanamo”.

Yemen’s human rights minister appealed to the United States and Gulf Arab countries to help fund a $20 million rehabilitation centre that Sanaa says will stop Yemenis released from Guantanamo Bay prison going back to militant activities. Washington halted the repatriation of Yemeni prisoners in 2010 after a man trained by al Qaeda-linked militants in Yemen attempted to blow up a U.S.-bound plane in 2009 with a bomb concealed in his underwear.

Last week President Barack Obama announced the US’s readiness to lift up ban on repatriating Yemeni nationals from Guantanamo Bay top security prison.

Sanaa has put a price tag on the issue, asking Washington and the Gulf capitals to fund construction of a rehabilitation center that will potentially soothe the pains of former extremists and disincline them from armed violence.

“The detainees will be rehabilitated and reintegrated into society,” state news agency Saba quoted Yemen’s President Abd-Rabbu Mansour Hadi as saying. On Tuesday, Hadi shared his views with the US Senator John McCain who is touring the Middle East.

Yemen’s Human Rights Minister Houriah Mashhour told Reuters that the government approved the plan, but needs funding, from $18 to $20 million to bring the project into life.

“The [financial] support that the United States would offer to Yemen in this regard will not be more than what it is [currently] spending to maintain Guantanamo prison,” Mashhour evaluated in an interview on Wednesday.

She also addressed wealthy Arab states of the Persian Gulf, which promoted the power transfer in Yemen in 2011 and helped to stop months-long political instability in Yemen, to sponsor the rehab project.

A large number, if not the majority of the Guantanamo detainees are from Yemen.

Among the 86 Gitmo prisoners already cleared for transfer or release are 56 Yemeni nationals. The next 80 detainees awaiting clearance for transfer have unaccounted for number of Yemenis as well. Many of them are among the 100+ Gitmo prisoners who are on hunger strike, which began sometime in February, demanding to be let out.

Most of them were detained over a decade ago, following the 9/11 terror acts in the US and the American invasion to Afghanistan.

Washington stopped repatriating Yemeni nationals from Guantanamo prison in 2010, following the 2009 incident of an attempted US-bound plane blast. A man who attempted to bring explosives aboard in his underwear had been trained by Al-Qaeda-linked militants in Yemen.

Yemen is one of the most impoverished countries in the Arabian Peninsula, which definitely helps Al-Qaeda cells, which traditionally recruit new members among poverty-stricken population.

The Arab Spring protests in 2011 hit low-lived Yemen particularly hard, putting the country on the verge of a civil war. In the end President Ali Abdullah Saleh was ousted and replaced with his subordinate Hadi.

Though the situation in Yemen has largely stabilized since then, the Islamist insurgency together with Al-Qaeda are still targeting governmental facilities and troops in regular attacks and explosions.

Who is behind this covert move? The answer is Eric Holder’s shadow legal staff. Just a sample of who Barack Obama has said is too dangerous to release but then changed his mind is but one of up to 48 that are soon to be headed to back to Yemen, which by the way is the very location of the al Qaeda meeting with the top jihadis who were so brazen as to publish the video online. The United States did respond with a drone strike however, yet in the end, to empty the cells of Guantanamo and send the detainees to Yemen defies logic…well not to the DoJ or the White House anyway.

Cold War Part Two

Flashing Red: Fighting breaks out in Ukraine this morning.

http://www.zerohedge.com/news/2014-04-24/fighting-breaks-out-ukraine-deploys-tanks-apcs-troops-slavyansk-deaths-reported

And the new announcement of the Russian flotilla in the Caspian Sea.

http://www.janes.com/article/36957/russia-announces-snap-exercises-of-caspian-sea-flotilla

Very few in the media are attempting to connect the signals and events globally with regard to Putin’s moves to rebuild a new Russia. Not only has Putin virtually installed a footprint in Latin America , not only has Putin assumed control of Crimea, not only has Putin set his sights on annexing additional Baltic States, but, he has his military assets popping up in very interesting places lately.

It seems that Russian has a warship very close to Britain such that the Royal Navy dispatched a shadow watercraft to monitor the Russian destroyer. Then if one looks up in the air, near Scotland there are TU-95’s, known as Bears that are quite worrisome to the Brits such they the Royal Air Force launched aircraft to chase the TU-95’s out of the airspace. Then, the it seems the same has happened in Dutch airspace where fighters too were dispatched to do the same.

Russian warship

A Russian Akula nuclear submarine was in the Gulf of Mexico in August of 2012 completely undetected and few questions were asked. While the Obama administration has allowed Russian spy planes in the United States airspace, only in the last few days is the Pentagon working to terminate that program allowed in the Open Skies Treaty.

Just this past February, a Russian warship retro-fitted with sophisticated surveillance technology finds it was to a Cuban Port without the customary advanced notice.

Beyond these recent events, the Russians are also diligently working to establish naval bases in Venezuela, Nicaragua, Algeria, Cyprus, Seychelles, Vietnam and Singapore. No one else is paying attention or reporting Russia’s robust agenda in the Artic with unified bases.

The Putin plan so far with Crimea is such a success that a new commemorative coin has been minted for this conquest of Crimea.

Russia has taken up a new alliance with China, while Putin continues to support the civil war in Syria with arms for Assad and Putin is threatening the West with voting power to side with Iran over nuclear sanctions if the West challenges any component of Putin’s global plan.

This is a very dangerous and sophisticated chess game being played on the global stage and it appears that John Kerry with his failed Geneva agreement with Russia was barely noticed or obeyed by Russia, in fact not at all.

I would advise listening to this podcast by Newt Gingrich, who as a historian spells out the chess game and illustrates the danger around the corner that moves the West closer to a Cold War Part Two, which the Obama administration refuses to recognize.

In the meantime, it appears that all along Germany has been aiding Russia in Putin’s quest. while Russia has also installed spies in Germany at levels not seen since the Cold War era.

All is right in Barack Obama’s world though relating to foreign policy, Ukraine receives $50 million dollars from the recent visit by VP Joe Biden and some MRE’s. Barack Obama seems to think that the pivot away from the Middle East and Russia to focus on Asia will save his foreign policy legacy, but it wont save the West from Russian worldwide posturing and growing strength.

Caviar and vodka anyone with those nuclear weapons?

Clinton Skeletons still Dancing

In the last month, many Clinton administration documents are being released which is required by law. To date we have seen documents as they relate to enemies lists, how to stage and rebuke scandals all of which lead to the just how they think and their hidden missions.

Just this week included in the most recent round of documents we find that Bill Clinton wrote a personal note to the Dar al Hijrah mosque in Falls Church, Virginia asking to work together in proposed suggestions from the mosque. After 9/11, the FBI visited this mosque and at least two of the hijackers on that terrible day worshipped there. Additionally, Mohammed al Hanooti was the Iman at the mosque for four years and he was named as an unindicted co-conspirator in the 1993 World Trade Center bombing.

Of particular note, Anwar al Awlaki was also an Iman there as well. al Awlaki was killed in a drone attack in Yemen. al Awlaki was a U.S. citizen who Major Nidal Hassan of Ft. Hood shooter fame communicated with and al Awlaki was also a major contributor to the Inspire magazine, the al Qaeda publication that advances the jihad doctrine around the world.

After the decision to kill Awlaki by drone, Barack Obama and his staff has sought to keep classified the document trail regarding Awlaki, but a judge ruled today those documents are to be released.

Clintons

The Clinton’s have a long history of being on the wrong side with particular emphasis placed on campaign money, aborting operations to kill Usama bin Ladin and approving pardons for corrupt placeholders, criminals, bombers and jihadis.

Well in case you are seeking additional proof on the Clintons and need something more on Hillary as she seeks to win the Democrat nominee to be president in 2016, we cannot overlook her complicity in Benghazi but here is the movie titles ‘Hillary’ so you can revisit this lying and corrupt elite couple. This movie was banned from normal theater distribution using the work and names of those like Harry Reid.

Oh yeah, one more thing, remember Sandy Berger, you know the guy who stole documents from the National Archives? Well those documents were over the aborted mission to kill Usama bin Ladin, Sudan and the Millennium Plot. The FBI file is here.

We don’t want a co-presidency in the White House again, and frankly this pair should have their citizenship revoked.

Brandeis Bans Free Speech

On the Brandeis University website it states the school is the only nonsectarian Jewish sponsored university in the country. The school was named for Louis Dembitz Brandeis, a Justice of the U.S. Supreme Court. Then there is a sentence on the website that refers to the school has innovative and exciting programs of learning that emphasizes an interdisciplinary approach to knowledge and the solutions of real-life problems.

Heh, well when it comes to the schools decision to uninvited Ayaan Hirshi Ali for an honorary degree, it flies in the face of the very text above and especially that of what any Supreme Court Justice should encourage.

In a deeper look one of the notable alumni of the school is Michael Ratner, class of ’65. He is the President Emeritus of the Center for Constitutional Rights. Sounds like a great guy eh? Well not so much, this organization he runs is at the core of the outside constant assistance of the existing AG of the Department of Justice, Eric Holder and additionally that organization is the lead agency full of lawyers providing free counsel to Guantanamo detainees.

And this very week, the school terminated its invitation to Ayann Hirshi Ali under major pressure from CAIR, whose membership has a nasty history.

Cair

When radical speech comes from Muslims, however, the same voices claiming to defend the world against hate speech suddenly turn into spin doctors. Among the examples:

  • Sami Al-Arian remains a hero in Islamist circles despite being      exposed as a board member for the Palestinian Islamic Jihad and being      taped saying Jews were “made into monkeys and      pigs” by Allah and calling for “Death to Israel.”
  • CAIR represented Imam Kifah Mustapha in failed litigation against the Illinois State Police. The agency dropped Mustapha as its first Muslim chaplain after the Investigative Project on Terrorism reported about his work as a paid fundraiser for a Hamas front, including performances “singing about Jihad and martyrdom” in a singing troupe which performed at fundraisers.
  • CAIR lauded University of California, Irvine students charged with misdemeanors for orchestrating a series of disruptions aimed at silencing a 2010 speech by Israeli Ambassador Michael Oren. CAIR’s Los Angeles director called the students, whose stated goal was to silence someone else’s speech, “true American heroes.”
  • CAIR has defended Muslim Brotherhood spiritual leader Yusuf al-Qaradawi as a moderate despite his fatwas justifying suicide bombings in Israel and attacks on American soldiers in Iraq. CAIR Executive Director Nihad Awad joined Qaradawi in 2012 to discuss a film project about the Muslim prophet Muhammad. This meeting occurred after Qaradawi expressed a wish to kill Jews before he dies.
  • When a radical Muslim website threatened the producers of “South Park” in 2010, CAIR’s national spokesman dismissed the significance, wondering in the Los Angeles Times if “they were set up only to make Muslims look bad.”

CAIR works diligently to block free speech across America as well as free thought. Brandeis stated it’s reason for shunning Ayaan Hirsi Ali is due in part that her criticisms were inconsistent with Brandeis Universitiy’s core values. Well, do those core values include shutting down free speech? Did anyone at the University bother too research the history of CAIR, their relationship to Hamas and documented relationships with unindicted co-conspirators from the Holyland Foundation trial?

It was only recently too that CAIR forced capitulation of the University of Michigan and the Greater Oakland County Republican Club.

Read more here. My good friends at the Investigative Project continue to do yeoman’s work with proven facts and documents.

Too often, claims of “Islamophobia” are parroted without challenge by the news media. None of the reports this week pressed Hirsi Ali’s critics about the context of her statements or about the overall tenor of their attacks. None pointed out that internal documents discovered during an investigation into a Muslim Brotherhood support network place CAIR on the group’s “Palestine Committee.” The committee was tasked with helping Hamas politically and financially.

Until that situation changes, the Islamist winning streak of bullying others into silencing their foes is likely to continue.

Come America, unless we admit what CAIR is and what Islam and Sharia is doing to the entire culture and history of our country, then we are going to have a crisis all too soon that will begin to look like Great Britain and sadly, Syria.

Dempsey there but not John Kerry (Israel)

Well, people, the matter of Israel at the core of two epic issues remains, the matter of a peace agreement with the Palestinians and the matter of negotiations on Iran’s nuclear program. So, while Barack Obama has capitulated with Iran with wide spread news and failures, Martin Dempsey, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs is in Israel gaining an assessment on Israel’s war plans with Iran.

ABOARD A GOVERNMENT AIRCRAFT — Israel and the United States are now in broad agreement about the threat that Iran poses to the region and how to deal with it, the top US military official said Tuesday.

“I think they are satisfied that we have the capability to use a military option if the Iranians choose to stray off the diplomatic path,” Gen. Martin Dempsey, chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, said of Israeli officials. “I think they are satisfied we have the capability. I think they believe we will use it.”

Acknowledging there were differences in the past, Dempsey said Israel and the United States are closer now in their assessment of the threat Iran poses and America’s willingness to act.

Dempsey made the remarks after wrapping up a two-day visit to Israel, where he met with military and government officials.

The international community has reached an agreement with Iran to lessen sanctions against the country in return for curbing its nuclear program.

In the past, Israeli officials have expressed wariness about the international accord with Iran and also disagreed with the United States at times over the pace at which Iran could field a nuclear weapon. Israel had raised the prospect of a unilateral attack on Iran’s nuclear facilities.

“Our clocks are more harmonized than they were two years ago,” Dempsey said.

“They just wanted to know that we are maintaining and continuing to refine our military options,” he said.

John Kerry

Then the matter of John Kerry and his broken talks with Abbas, Kerry bailed out.

JERUSALEM, Jan. 13 (UPI) — U.S. Secretary of  State John  Kerry called off his Monday visit to Israel at the last minute, Israeli  broadcaster Arutz  Sheva reported.

The cancellation is apparently in reaction to poor results in Kerry’s attempt  to broker an agreement between Israel and the Palestinian Authority, the  broadcaster said.

The next stages of the diplomatic negotiations were expected to be finalized  at Monday’s meeting.

Currently, Israel hasn’t responded to Kerry’s suggested security arrangements  in the Jordan Valley that would replace the presence of Israeli troops.

The Palestinian Authority objects to Israel’s demand that Israel be  recognized as the state of the Jewish people. It also refuses to give up on the  so-called “right of return” for displaced Arabs and their descendants to  Israel.

Oh yeah, one more thing, the issue of releasing Jonathan Pollard just to keep the talks moving forward, well that is for the most part off too. Pollard does not want to be released just to save John Kerry and the White House….I don’t blame him.
